ROGE is an Italian artist who has lived in the United States for many years. She was formally trained as a painter and has worked many years as a visual artist. Her artwork has been displayed in galleries and museums throughout Italy and the US.
ROGE has advanced her skill of jewelry making by the blending of her artistic talents as a painter. She uses her painter’s eye for color and composition to create one of a kind intricate wearable art.
The selection of colors, geometric patterns and size of the beads work harmoniously to create extraordinary compositions. The play of light throughout the work adds a touch of excitement. ROGE, not wishing to settle for the ordinary or usual, uses a nontraditional way of beading in her projects. She frequently handcrafts the metal wire from a single strand into complex Viking Chain or creates a pattern using coils. All of her handmade closures are designed to be unique.
ROGE uses many different materials to create her jewelry; glass, coral, copper and colored metal wire, sea shells, semi precious stones.
